7. IS YOUR INFORMATION TRANSFERRED INTERNATIONALLY?

Our servers are located in the United States. Regardless of your location, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored by, and processed by us in our facilities and in the facilities of the third parties with whom we may share your personal information (see "WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?" above), including facilities in the United States, and other countries.
If you are a resident in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), or Switzerland, then these countries may not necessarily have data protection laws or other similar laws as comprehensive as those in your country. 12. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.
California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Because there currently is not an industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.

Identifiers are deleted or anonymized when no longer required, subject to applicable legal, security, fraud-prevention, and technical requirements.
- Category D - For as long as reasonably necessary to verify and manage purchases, subscriptions, renewals, refunds, and entitlements; comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and App Store requirements; and resolve payment-related disputes. Apple and Adapty may retain transaction and subscription information according to their respective terms and privacy policies.
- Category F - For only as long as reasonably necessary to understand usage trends, maintain security, diagnose technical issues, and improve the Service. Analytics and application interaction data is retained according to our configured Google Analytics for Firebase retention settings and is deleted or aggregated when no longer required, subject to applicable legal, security, and technical requirements.
- Category G - We do not collect or store precise GPS location or movement history. Approximate location may be derived from an IP address and retained only for as long as necessary for analytics, security, fraud prevention, and service operation, according to our configured service-provider retention periods. It is deleted or aggregated when no longer required, subject to applicable legal and technical requirements.
- Category H - Plant photographs submitted for AI analysis are not intentionally stored in our application database after the requested analysis is completed. Our cloud and AI service providers may process or temporarily retain request data according to their applicable terms, privacy policies, data processing agreements, and service configuration. Copies saved locally in analysis history or the user's plant collection remain on the user's device
We collect and share your personal information through:

Under certain US state data protection laws, you can designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may deny a request from an authorized agent that does not submit proof that they have been validly authorized to act on your behalf in accordance with applicable laws.
Request Verification
Upon receiving your request, we will need to verify your identity to determine you are the same person about whom we have the information in our system. We will only use personal information provided in your request to verify your identity or authority to make the request. However, if we cannot verify your identity from the information already maintained by us, we may request that you provide additional information for the purposes of verifying your identity and for security or fraud-prevention purposes.

Australia and New Zealand

15. THIRD-PARTY AI PROCESSING AND USER CONSENT
Plantmaxxer provides optional artificial intelligence features for plant identification, visible plant health analysis, plant care recommendations, and educational mushroom visual comparison.
Plantmaxxer also provides an educational mushroom visual-comparison feature. Mushroom results are possible visual matches only and must never be used to decide whether a wild mushroom is safe to consume.
When a user chooses to analyze a plant or mushroom photograph, we process the photograph captured with the device camera or selected from the photo library, together with limited related information such as the requested scan type, photo source, device or application language, and technical request information. Plantmaxxer does not request device location for mushroom identification.
Before this information is transmitted for artificial intelligence processing, Plantmaxxer presents a notice identifying the information that will be sent, the purpose of the processing, and the third-party artificial intelligence providers involved. The photograph is not transmitted for AI processing unless the user affirmatively selects “Allow & Analyze.” If the user selects “Not Now,” the photograph is not sent and the requested AI analysis is not performed.
Authorized requests are transmitted through our Firebase and Google Cloud infrastructure to OpenRouter. OpenRouter routes the request to a Google Gemini model operated by Google LLC. OpenRouter and Google Gemini process the photograph and related request information to return the plant identification, plant health analysis, plant care response, or educational mushroom visual comparison requested by the user.
A submitted photograph may unintentionally contain personal information visible in the image or background. Users should submit only photographs that they are authorized and willing to share and should avoid including people, faces, documents, addresses, or other personal or sensitive information that is not necessary for the requested plant or mushroom analysis. We do not use submitted photographs for facial recognition, biometric identification, advertising, or the creation of consumer profiles.
We require third-party service providers that process user information on our behalf, including Google/Firebase, OpenRouter, Google Gemini, Adapty, and other applicable processors, to handle personal information under contractual, privacy, and security obligations that provide the same or an equivalent level of protection as described in this Privacy Policy and required by applicable law.
Users may decline AI processing before submitting a photograph. Users may also contact us using the contact information provided in this Privacy Policy to ask questions, withdraw consent for future processing, or request access to or deletion of applicable personal information. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that lawfully occurred before the withdrawal.
We do not intentionally store submitted plant or mushroom photographs in our application database after the requested AI analysis is completed. Our infrastructure and AI service providers may process or temporarily retain request information according to their applicable terms, privacy policies, data processing agreements, security practices, and the service configurations we use.
16. DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS NOTICE?
